An Inspiring story of drive, dedication and family.

Nella Cutlery is a knife sharpening service company in the Kent, that supplies food

processing and kitchen equipment to businesses across the nation.

As a family they are “exceptionally” proud of the heritage, that their great grandfather started in 1901.

The company has been going for more than 120 years and there are now five children in the business – so it’s a full family company.

Great grandfather Emilio started the business by walking through northern Italy, an hour

north of Lake Garda in the Italian Dolomites, from his village of Carisolo, just down the valley from Madonna di Campiglio.

He walked to England pushing a grindstone and sharpening knives as he went – it took him one year and he finally settled in Kent.

What an inspirational story and I am incredibly proud to have Nella on board as my Helmet sponsor. To think that I am treading my own path of discovery in the opposite direction to Emilio, from the UK to the Alps of Austria and beyond, striving to be the best.
